Prayer Letter Fall 2008

Published on 10/04/08

Dear Friends,

The 2008-2009 Campus Bible Fellowship school year is in full swing! After a great summer of meeting many potential C.B.F. prospects at the Boise State University student orientation days and attending the Baptist Mid-Missions Team North America/Campus Bible Fellowship Enrichment conference in Iowa, we praise God for the great start to our fifth year of ministry at B.S.U.

On August 23rd we started out with the annual Move in Day Extravaganza. This is our first opportunity to welcome new students to B.S.U. and be reunited with returning ones. The next day we began our weekly Campus Bible Fellowship Dinner and Devotion Evening at the newly remodeled “Biblical Studies Center.” Located just a block off campus, this three-story center offers a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, lounge, game room, library, class room, conference room and the new home of the “Cornerstone” Christian Book Store. We praise the Lord for the use of this facility and for the number of new students coming to our meetings.

August 30th, we hosted the annual C.B.F. White Water River Raft Trip. Twenty of us had a safe and beautiful day making new friends and enjoying our God’s awesome creation. Continuing on from last semester, our small group Bible studies began meeting again on September 3rd and on Friday, September 5th, we held a C.B.F. Fund-Raising Dinner to help support our ministry and scholarship program. All of this in just our first two weeks!

Along with our regular weekly meetings, please be in prayer for the rest of this year’s events and discipleship opportunities. On a personal note, we praise God for His faithful provision, care and measure of good health for the Rowland Family. The countdown has begun for one of the most momentous events of the year and you all are invited! On December 19th 2008, Deborah Ann Rowland will be graduating from Boise State University with her degree in secondary education history. P.T.L. We are also very proud to announce that our son-in-law, Steve Rodenburg is the pastor of White Lake Baptist Church, Montague, MI.

Once again, we wish to express our overwhelming thanks and heartfelt appreciation for your prayer and support of this life-changing ministry. May God bless you richly!

Together in His service!
