2009 Summer Missions Trip – England

Published on 02/13/09

Dear Friends and Family,

We are writing to share with you the wonderful opportunity that the Lord has provided for this summer. From the 16th through the 30th of June 2009, Campus Bible Fellowship at Boise State University and Meridian First Baptist Church are providing the opportunity for a missions trip to England. Although once a land of great preachers and missionaries, England is now a spiritually dark country in great need of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

During our two weeks, the team will be serving the Evangelical Baptist Church of Hatfield in Hertfordshire and the Ivybridge Baptist Church in the county of Devon. Because the gifts and talents of our group vary, we will be involved in doing literature distribution for the churches, preaching, teaching Bible studies, providing a musical concert, doing public school assembly times, a mini-discipleship seminar, as well as a few repair and construction jobs. We will also be taking some time to study England’s Christian heritage and visiting some landmark’s of her great preachers.

We are very excited to see how the Lord will work through this missions trip and would like to give you the opportunity to be involved. We covet your prayers and ask that you would pray for our team as we prepare to go to England. Pray that we will be sensitive to the Lord’s leading, and that we will be bold in sharing the gospel with those that the Lord brings to us. Pray that even now God would begin opening the hearts of the people that we will come into contact with, and that many would be brought to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Pray also that God would provide the finances that are needed. Each one on the team is responsible for raising around $ 3,200. If you would like to make a contribution, please make a check payable to Meridian First Baptist Church, designated “England Missions Trip” in the memo field and send it to: Meridian First Baptist Church – 428 West Pine – Meridian, Idaho 83642.

Thank you for allowing us to share with you the opportunity that the Lord has blest us with. We hope that you will prayerfully consider being a part of this ministry.

Together in His service!
